SAWEEET. For gunk removal I found a ultrasonic scraper and gas works great.

Re: 53 GMC 5 window RestoMod Bagged
3/19 Got some things done this week in between surgery and getting the flu from the wife. I was able to fab up a step notch out of some left over 2X4. Also got it mocked up in the frame but not welded in place yet. Also did some surgery on the front end driver side. Fixed the leak on the fitting and cut out the pocket to give some clearance. I will need to trim just a little more. Then I will do the passenger side to match. All in all I am happy with the progress. Hoping to get the notchs in and 4 link done by the end of March but that is coming quickly and I will be out of town 2 days next week.
I know the welds are not the prettiest but they will hold. You may also notice that the level is not level this is due to the front being lowered already before I weld I will make the frame level and the notch level with the frame. The notch also needs to come down about 3/4" and that will make it about 1.75" above the frame which will clear 24's if I ever decide to go that big of a rim.

Re: 53 GMC 5 window RestoMod Bagged
Not much to report on this end of the field. Have been busy with other projects around the house since the weather is nice. Got the wife's garden started, built a swing set for my oldest with his help of course. Finished off my oldest's roadster so now we have something to cruise in at car shows and spent a ton of money on my DD so noes funds are obsolete. My goal is to get the car put back together before summer is over and start looking for a drive train. I have changed my mind on the sbc re-visiting the idea of the 4BT in the truck.
Here is a picture of my sons roadster

cool build for him, seems like that time of year where all the house, yard work, family get togethers etc all try to get in the way of the build.
