Picked up this 71 cheyenne 10

Just got this 71 cheyenne drove it home for 600 bucks. Needs alot of work but the engine has less than 1000 miles on it since the PO put in a new crate 350. For now its going to be my daily driver around the dairy till whitelightnings twin turbo LS swap is done. My question is where to get some cheap interior parts for the new rig? I need a seat cover, carpet kit, and maybe door panel skins. The headliner, dash pad and steering wheel/ misc small parts are fine.

PICS!

Started to buff it out a bit

Certainly is a different color combination. I bet it was purdy when the paint was fresh.....

Check craigslist or junk yards for parts. Might be surprised what you find....

Keep us posted on the progress.

Great deal on that, and the best part is the almost brand new engine. That thing would be a long way from an LS swap if it was mine. I see plenty of needs for it and with a brand new engine I'd have that swap way down the list. I know, but it isn't my truck, do what you want, just sayin'

Whitelightning is getting the twin turbo LS swap, not this one.

Re: Picked up this 71 cheyenne 10

My dad bought one just like yours back in the 70's shortly after the squares came out. Only difference was his was white where yours is yellow. He had purchased a '73 baby blue square 1/2t I6/3OTT new and hated it so he found a beautiful used 71 or 2 Cheyenne. Problem was he tried to sell the baby blue '73 and no one wanted it. He ended up selling the Cheyenne to make ends meet.

Definitely, I have no plans to ever engine swap it tbh. This truck will probably be the truck I try my first paint job on tho...
