1967 Chevrolet 1/2 ton 4x4 Panel
I recently bought an original, beat up 1967 1/2 ton panel 4x4. When I checked the production numbers I was surprised to see only 30 were made? Is this true?
It has been converted into a camper with heater and fiberglass roof. I'm curious if this was a dealer install or factory order? The truck came from Hope, British Columbia, Canada. In the 60's it was a logging area. Any information on it would be appreciated. I will post pics ASAP. Thank you |

Re: 1967 Chevrolet 1/2 ton 4x4 Panel
Yes, very low production numbers on these, the 3/4 ton 4x4 was even lower, my book is packed up, we're in the process of moving or I could give you an exact, think it was something like 5 or 11? Made.
Doesn't sound factory, maybe was an ambulance once, they had those raised roof added. Welcome to the board. Hurry on those pics!!! |

Welcome to the board. Can't wait to see that panel. Would it be a Canadian-made truck?

Pictures of the Spid. Lots of Serial and Model numbers. Pretty basic options and paint code.

Re: 1967 Chevrolet 1/2 ton 4x4 Panel
First I plan on finding out more information from Vintage Vehicle Services, then decide if I am returning it to stock form. I already have a parts suburban for the roof and some sheetmetal, although I kinda like all the body damage from hard 4x4 use. Mechanically it all works, just worn, so will start going through it.
Figure it's rare enough to resurrect. Not worth big money but try to find another one.... I would love pics of any other 1967 1/2 ton 4x4 Panel trucks out there! |

That panel is going to need some panels. Have fun playing with it.

Nice find! 4x4 panels were very rare no matter what weight series. Interesting modifications, too.

Nothing a few hundred pounds of bondo wouldn't fix.
If you are half as talented as some of the guys on this forum, you'll have it fixed up in no time and without a gram of bondo. |
