Question Stainless Rod

So as is in my usual way I found something else I plan to change from stock. I need lengths of SS rods threaded on the ends only that are around four feet long. I also need a few shorter ones too.
So what these are for is to do away with the stock hood springs and latch and build hood prop rods like the Willys use except two, one for each side. The latches themselves will be revealed after the truck is done since again I'm doing something different

Where can I get them? Should I try Grainger? 3/8"

Re: Stainless Rod

Buy SS rod and use a die and tap them to your thread size.
