I'm not sure if you'd need a clutch with a Chevy pressure plate and a Ford splined clutch disc. But even if you do a quick call to your clutch supplier solves that easily enough and total cost would still be lower than going with a new Tremec. Assuming that's all that needs to be done, haven't looked too deep into the input shaft length and pilot bearing/bushing diameter yet. I'm sure QuickTime would be able to answer those questions but again, I have gotten that far yet.
Overdriven, you have brought up some good points. I'll look deeper into this Quicktime route. Yes and not only are the Ford T5 more plentiful, it's my understanding they are a bit stronger than the GM versions.

Re: 3.73 vs 4.11 ?

Looks like they have performance bellhousings. Probably the same can be accomplished using a Lakewood set up for Ford trans and a Chevy SB bolt pattern. Bad thing with this route the bellhousings are 5-6 hundred dollars then I'm sure more added to make the conversion happen.

Seems I read some of the more recent Camaros have been using Ford T-5s. Wonder if this is true and if one of these bellhousings would do the trick.
