Which beauty/trim rings

I am running 15x7 in the front and 15x8 in the rear of my 85 with truck rallies.

Which are the correct trim rings?

Are they different for the diff. Sizes?

Where can i purchase the correct ones??

Thanks.

Re: Which beauty/trim rings

The factory trim rings for both wheels are they same size. I would look for some good used original ones at a salvage yard or swap meet.

Re: Which beauty/trim rings

If you search beauty trim rings on Google you will get a lot of options. I saw a set of Impala police cruiser beauty rings on Ebay that looked nice.

Not trying to steal this thread, I like the way this set is tapered toward the center. Anyone recognize them?

Re: Which beauty/trim rings

Those look like a 7" Corvette rally wheel trim ring to me.

Production trim ring for an 8" wheel is shown below (left). I recall that the van wheels (7" wide) used a different ring but will defer to Katrina/10.

I used the 8" Corvette rally trim on mine (from Summit).

Keith, in my experience with these vehicles that I and others have had, the Silverado trucks came with 8 inch wide rally wheels, and the lesser versions (Custom Deluxe) came with 7 inch. The original trim rings on both were the same and interchangeable. But, the full-size vans came with a 6.5 inch wide wheel, and had a thinner, more square-edged ring that looked a lot like some of the rings used on cars. The Astro rallys used the same ring as the big van. I have used the van rings on both wider car and truck wheels and they look ok. They do expose more of the wheel, if you like that look.

Re: Which beauty/trim rings

The late 80's to early 90's cargo vans (aka work vans) had a trim ring which is only about half as deep-installed on the truck rallys it makes them appear deeper which looks nice. You can also run 70-72 Monte Carlo trim rings which have the double edge BUT nice ones are NOT cheap!

Good info guys, thanks. I think Keith is right, I like the angle of the ones I posted, Does look like an old 7" rally from the 70's.

Re: Which beauty/trim rings

The white 84 belongs to my brother and we have the same rings on both our squares. They came from a swap meet vendor at the Texas motor speedway with many styles to choose from and had no name or info on them or the box. We just recently bought 8 rings for 90 bucks no tax. The guy said they were early Chevelle rings but who knows

Re: Which beauty/trim rings

Also I should note that our rings will work on 7s or 8s. I run both sizes on my pickup with the same ring all around whereas my brother has all 8s on his 84

Re: Which beauty/trim rings

Like my brother said, our beauty rings are supposed to be early Chevelle. There were a couple styles with the same shape. Here's another pic of mine.
