Transmission Problems.... 4L80e

Hello all!

I recently purchased a 1998 C3500 Crew Cab and am now experiencing transmission issues. I have been reading online about different treatments and nothing seems to work... I am really hoping that a total rebuild is not required...

The problem: The truck doesn't shift to 2nd till 2500-3000 rpms. It only does this from 1st to 2nd.

I have replaced the 1-2 shift solenoid and added the correct amount of new transmission fluid.

I am really hoping someone can point me in the right directions before I park it to save for a rebuild. Thank you all in advance!!!

Before we suspect anything internal......Have you scanned it with a capable scan tool & see if the PCM is commanding 2nd gear when it shifts late OR does is it commanding the shift at normal times .....But the actual shift is happening way later?

Any codes?

Speedometer functioning normally?
