new gas tank
looking for suggestions on best choice of gas tank. truck is a 55 second series with flatout c4 suspension with out a c notch. tank will relocate to behind rear axle,ls powered,bed floor fuel fill. i have looked online at universals and early mustang units. what are your thoughts ?

I've got a 77 Blazer tank for mine. It's a 25 gallon that is 28-3/4 x 28-1/8 x 10 -3/4. There is also a 31 gallon that is 12 and 3/4 deep which puts the bottom pretty low under most AD trucks.
They are set up for the filler to be on the side of the bed or in the fender.

Is the filler neck soldered in the Blazer tank? THinking about that tank as it would leave plenty of room for exhaust on the sides, but do want bed fill. Wondering if the neck could be moved very easily |

i have a new '65 mustang tank from Tanks, Inc. very happy with it. came with fuel sender compatible with stock gauge.

I took a few photos of the tank when I go home.
 The hump on top of the tank that has the sending unit and fuel pickup in it is somewhat higher than the actual flat top of the tank. that may cause a problem in how high you can get the bottom of the tank up off the ground or out of sight in some cases.
