Has anybody used these before?. http://kwiklift.com/Photos/Truck_photos.htm I just recently built an attached garage on my house and would love to have a lift. I was going to build a recessed pit in the concrete floor but the contractors were quoting steep prices to do it. Needless to say I only have a 9' ceiling height and this looks like a nice alternative. I would still have to lay on a creeper but I would have plenty of room to roll around under my vehicles while they were securely supported. Any thoughts on these units?

looks like alot of money to do the work of 2sets of good jackstands and the jackstands will stow away a heck of alot easier than that thing

if i were to spend the money, i would pay more and get a lift that goes up high enough to stand under. that might be too tall to lay on your back and work on, and not tall enough to stand under. just my opinion though

Looks like the way to go if you have a lowered vehicle and cannot get a floor jack under it.

This is a lift designed for the guy that doesn't have a lot of overhead clearance, like myself.

I have one. I have had it for 4 years now. I saw it demoed at a large swap meet and purchased it. It gets the tires about 22 inches off the ground.
I am happy with it. You lay it flat when not using it and drive your car or truck on it while it is flat for parking. I park my 68 camaro on it.

If I had the head room I would spend another $400 and get a two post lift. My uncle has a four post lift with the ramps that go between them and he loves it. You can stand under his though. If I am going to have a lift I want to stand under it and be able to remove the wheels while it is up.

yeah my father in law has one of them 4 posters with the ramps he doesnt use anymore , ill own it one of these days haha

Probably with the Eagle 7000xlt....

Check ebay, usually several brands there...

There is a crossmember that goes betwee the 2 ramps. They have small jack stands that fit in the crossmember that you can use to get the wheels off the rams. Kwik Lift sells them but they are the small footprint jack stands that you can buy anywhere.

I agree with most of the posts here. If I had the room the 2 or 4 post lift that would raise it high enough to walk under. more convenient. This is designed for the guy that doesn't have the ceiling clearance for those.
