Wiring Questions???

im redoing the gauges in my 85 c10 and im going with autometer and i wanna know when the gauge says "to ignition switch" what wire exactly do i take these gauges to, cause im confused on what wire these things have to run too, the pic is just an example? i take it that all these gauges go to the same wire?

I / + usually means a "Switched 12 volt power source" like your ignition switch.

It provides power to the gauge when the switch is turned to the ON position only....

the ground wires can all be looped together and take one ground wire to the frame or battery (-) terminal

Typically, GM used pink w/blk wires as switched ignition source. On your fuse panel there are a few spots labeled as "IGN" that you can also route wires to.

Why would you run a wire down to the fuse panel? No need to run a bunch of extra wire.
There are usually two or three grounds and two or more ignition power wires on the instrument cluster plug.

Ignition power is usually pink/black and the grounds are black.
Cluster illumination is usually gray.
The wire colors and instrument panel plug pinout is in the factory wiring diagrams.
