Sons Graduation

So my son graduated 8th grade. He has been all over the place with what he wants for a present. We all gave him money so he could take his time and get what he wanted. Now I'm not new to rebuilding trucks as I have a couple but usually stay over in the 67-72 and 73-87 sections. Well he found a 65 4 wheel drive rolling chassis with running motor and drivetrain for 450.00. Yes it's not perfect and has some rust. But it's something he really wants as it's his favorite year. He just wants something to work on. Clean it up and get nice rolling chassis to find a body for. I don't know these years all the well other than they are really cool looking. I always wanted one but were just too rotted around here.

I told him when he gets it to set up account on here and start posting and asking. I know a fair amount of a lot of things but this group is really good about respect and offering advice and info and just generally supportive. So hopefully he will create one.

He's graduation from tractors as well. He has a couple of old Cub Cadets that he got running and used for a while. Now he wants something bigger to work on.

Here's the link to the post in craigslist. I know it's not much but he's buying it with own money and is excited about it. We are going up tomorrow and if looks good and straight then it will come home with us. Then the fun begins!!

Anyways I just wanted to let you guys know that another padawan is getting in the old trucks. Man he's just I was at that age. Scary

Thanks for reading!!
