Changing up bezel question

So I have a wood grain bezel / gauge set. It has lights on the left and wiper on the right. Tach ... vac ... and speed warning.

Im going to swap this over to 68 style, chrome and black. Lights and wipers on the left, choke on the right.

Im guessing this will be pretty straight forward except that I don't have a choke. I know they make Choke deletes, but I think I would like to have a choke knob instead. Is it possible to mount a choke knob without having to have all the guts behind the bezel, maybe just a nut back there or something? Would should I ask for on the parts board?

So you just want to add a fake choke knob? If all you are after is the chrome and black bezel that is available without the choke hole.

Re: Changing up bezel question

I have a new/repro 68 style bezel. I didn't know you could get it without a choke hole. Im going to have to live with it. I think the choke knob, even though it wont be used will help balance the bezels looks

Re: Changing up bezel question

You could cheat and just use a dummy wiper switch to hold the knob and chrome bezel on

Re: Changing up bezel question

Or you could add fog lights and wire it up to do something useful ?

Re: Changing up bezel question

I suppose I could wire the ignition so its a push button start. Might take too much thinking for me to do that though =)

Actually I was just thinking about what you said. I recently purchased cab lights, I could use that to power them up instead of wiring the cab lights in to the regular light switch.

Re: Changing up bezel question

Why not put another wiper switch and hook it up to something, like maybe under dash lights from a K/5?
