Re: Still dying when I slow to a stop
Refer to your carb manual but PVC normally connects to the base of the carb. On Q-jets and AFB derived carbs(Edelbrock 14XX series), PVC goes to a port on the front and the brake booster goes to a port on the back of the back of the carb. Not sure about Holleys.
You should also have two small ports, one labeled manifold vacuum and a second labeled ported. Cap the ported one and your distributor advance goes to the manifold one. Transmission and heater connects to the port in the manifold. Brake booster can also connect to the manifold port if the carb lacks a special port. |

Re: Still dying when I slow to a stop
Hi. Since you took off the glass fuel filter did you route the fuel line off the top of the alt.
Since there would heat build up on your rubber fuel line might cause vapor lock after good hot drive, because alter get very hot + the motor heat. If your going to leave it there.{ because when running the fuel flow will help cooling a bit but when slowing down idle that rubber getting to hot it can start to vapor lock giving you a fuel starving problem.} I would wrap the rubber fuel line to keep the heat away. OH did you ever check to make sure your dist. lock down was tight some time after a rebuild some run time they have been know the loose a bit, need to be retighten.

Re: Still dying when I slow to a stop
The dist was tight. Not sure what the deal was. Advanced it 2 degrees and hooked up the advance. Running great. As for the filter. Removed it and installed one like the frame on the other post. Works good. Feel safer. As for it being on the alternator. It is actually clipped to the bracket so it is off the alternator. Have had it on some good long drives and so far so good. Will keep an ey on it
Thanks
