Re: Rolling shots
Why did you have to purchase the rights to those pics. Isnt that your truck? You take high quality pics yourself, couldnt you just have taken the same sequence with your wife driving around the corner?
And yes I am one of the many that are guilty of asking for the specs on your drop and tire/wheel combo. |

Re: Rolling shots
I didn't have to purchase the rights to the pics. If I had ordered a print technically the rights to it would still belong to the photographer,(kinda like when your kids have their school pics made by Olan Mills or some other CO) but by ordering them on the disc I also received the rights to do with them as I wish. The only request that the photographer has is that if I use them commercially that I notify them and have them listed as the photgrapher. Yeah I guess it's possible I could have made some similar shots but my cameras aren't near the quality of what they are using. Even using the "burst" modes on mine I dont know if I could have made that sequence. These guys do it for a living and are pretty good at it. I wouldn't have bought them if you couldn't have seen so much of the road in the backgrounds. I could definitly take my own shot of my truck just sitting on the road . I would like to go up there sometime and park in a corner to watch the bikes and try and make my own shots.

Re: Rolling shots
Yeah, Asa put on some nice photo shoots for us. Too bad he's not so motivated to do that here these days. He's been known to pop in and share some talent on a rare occasion. Unfortunately, the owner of the blue Stepside has passed away since this thread was originally posted.

Re: Rolling shots
Deals gap also known as the Dragon or tail of the dragon for those who haven't been there . 318 turns in 11 miles makes this one fun and dangerous road to drive , ranked as one of the top ten driving roads in the U.S. frequently . If you plan to "run" the dragon be very careful and leave the weekends to the motorcycles .it's not far and we've been thru it dozens of times ,you won't forget it that's for sure .just when you think you have it figured out it will bite you hard . With multiple falling and climbing curves within seconds of each other will have you driving with one foot on the brake and one on the gas . Multiple crashes every weekend .local legend has it that their are bike riders who have gone off the road and never been found .

Re: Rolling shots
I survived on a Harley Ultra Classic with the X on back and loaded up for our journey. I rented the bike for the trip, so it took some getting used to. All roads in the area are MC mecca. But nice no matter what you run.
