Carb help: big time

Need help big time with my rochester b 1 barrel carb. My phone won't allow me to use the "search" mode for some reason.
I bought a rebuilt rochester b 1 barrel carb for my 59 fleetside original 235ci. From a place on eBay. I installed carb, filled bowl with gas, used choke and truck started right up. I let the enhine warm up to about 180 degrees, slowly opened choke and truck dies immediately.....spits and sputters and dies. If (with the choke off) I pump the gas pedal a few times, restart, it starts and immediately dies. If I put choke on, it starts right up and runs fine.... until I open choke, then it dies again.
What I've done:
I checked for vacuum leaks by plugging distributor advance with a rubber plug, looked for gas leaks and even sprayed starting fluid around base and bowl looking for leaks, none found. The carburator gaskets, heat sink are installed correctly (little hole on bottom of base can breath). I also adjusted the lean and rich screw: turned it all the way in and then 1 1/2 turns out, then 2 turns out......no difference.
Please help. Since this carb is newly rebuilt, I thought it should fire right up and run.

Start with float level. Power piston (Stuck?) Open vacuum ports? Try without the PCV valve. Fuel pump pressure OK? Good luck.

You have a big vacuum leak somewhere. If you have to close the choke to get it to run means its getting air from somewhere else other than down the air horn

You have a lack of fuel to the engine.... I'm thinking since you turned idle mixture screws out its either a block in the carb/fuel filter, bad fuel pump(not creating enough fuel pressure) or , if you haven't ever cleaned the tank, a clogged fuel sock on the end of your fuel sending unit in the tank.... fuel systems in one of these trucks is cheap(relatively speaking) so I'd start with looking inside the tank, and examine your sending unit..... blow out gas line, etc., Etc.... just my experience....

How do I adjust the float on this model carb? I'm used to Holley 4 barrels.

I have to agree with the float level, I've had many a carb get the float bent during shipping and that would also explain the choke on runs fine

How do I adjust the float? Is it too high or too low? Anyway to adjust it without tearing carb apart?

The top must come off and follow the direction in the PDF I posted

do not do this while the carb is on the truck, Take the carb off then do the repair

That is a must do right there. It's too easy to drop something down the intake.

That old pizza pan or baking sheet with the edge around it that your significant other threw out because it was too -------- to bake on makes a great operating table for a carb. Keeps the residual gas in one spot and keeps the little parts from rolling off or falling in a crack.

Ditto, not fun pulling the intake to fish a screw out of the head, or even cylinder is you get lucky and the valve is open....
