What are brake shields RPO # J63 on a 69 C10.

Yes it is. I haven't seen the truck in person as a friend bought it and its pretty original.

Im thinking that too. It'd be nice to have list of RPO's ( and for odd balls like this one ,what they are or do ) specific to our trucks realizing that some of the same RPO Codes might have been used on other GM Products.

All I know is they are drum brake shields front & rear. It would take digging deeper to see if there is a better description or specific info one just what they are...or someone with one "with" to compare to one "w/o". Doesn't ring a bell in my head, but I don't think it's a Canadian thing.

Considering the fact that brake drums are pretty much sealed unit when installed I wonder what the "brake Shields " shield?
