Not exactly sure but I think the wheel track is a good bit wider. I am, however, sure a late model Trailblazer, Envoy or Ranier will fit. If you are patient, you can find one with a 5.3 (or 6.0 if you find an Trailblazer SS) already in place. A Ride and Drive hit in the front Trailblazer went through the salvage auction here the other day in pretty good shape for $2,300. I got the idea to do mine from the '55 Ligenfelter project as shown in this link:
