Has anybody else run into this billet grille problem on a painted lower valence?????

I bought a 2013 1500 lower valence which is painted silver from the factory to put on my 08 1500 truck and the 08 billet grille insert i have will not fit......looked into different vendors but they all list the lower valence billet grilles from 07 to 13 called a few and they all list the same part number......has anyone else had this problem ?????? Do you have the later model silver painted valence and have a billet insert that fits well????? If so what kind is it and where did you get it ???? Any help and i will be thankful....
