90 lums for backup light is it enough

so i put 2 LED lights in for backup lights does anyone know if they are supposed
to be a certain brightness or do they just need to be a white light.





last pic here is of my bedwood i made
oh ya any ideas of what i can use to hide my filler neck ?
i thought maybe a old metal gas can or a cooler or something any thoughts would be great.

I have no idea how many lumins they are, but factory back-ups are bright enough. So, if these are brighter you will be fine

just wanted to be different the truck is very far from stock .
i am not putting a tailgate on i dont plan to use the box it is a little short now
i might put one of those 5th wheel gate or the net style .

I'm not entirely sure how to read those last two lines, you might need to google the "FMVSS 108 backup light" for more info. But it sounds like 45 per light so 90 should be enough, but don't take my word for it!

Build a toolbox to hide the fuel neck. Make it useful and fill in that corner with it.

i built it from the ground up with my son , started on it 3 yrs ago when he was 10.
we took a 69 c10 fleetside longbox cut 30 inches out of the box did all the bodywork my self, new corners rockers, doors, fenders. sat it on a 83 k5 blazer frame put a 1st gen vortec engine minus the tbi (went carb instead) in it, seats out of a 2000 silverodo
the bed is done with pine that had black stain sanded down then red oak stain then valspar then sanded from one end to the other to scratch it up.

I second this. Either get an old tool box or make one if you're feeling ambitious. Just flip the latch, open it up to get to your filler and whatever you want to stuff in the rest of the box. I'd divide the box just so spills don't get on the contents of the box too easily.

Edit: don't know how I missed the fact the filler is in the bed side. I'd still go with a tool box over a gas can to cover up the filler neck though. More useful.
