Brake lamp switch stock pedal - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Does anyone have any pictures of the brake light/lamp switch on 3100 48-54 using stock pedal? My firewall has two little holes where I believe a mechanical actuated switch once lived.

don't have a picture but check classic parts. p/# 53-011 $5.95

Stock switch mounts on the outside of the kick panel below the steering column and the brake pedal arm works the lever on the switch. It's held by two machine screws that go though the floor below the column and is is a two person job to install unless you have the worlds longest arms.

From the Rock auto page a couple of parts numbers are Standard motor products sls43 and AC Delco D866C The Delco number should cross at any parts house.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
