Project Creamsicle - 71 SWB C10 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Long story short..........
I picked this 71 SWB C10 up years ago and now finally putting some real paint on it and tune the suspension. 250 six banger, 3 on tree with OD, power steering. Just picked up lots of parts that were hot caustic dipped and Phosphate coated for the going back to the original medium red. Paint was so bad the original medium red looked like Hugger Orange with plenty of orange peel to go with it, looked just like a creamsicle. Trucks's from northern CA, South east of Mount Shasta. A eye sore when we picked it up in a state of disrepair. Will post pics from purchase to present. Here's the latest item for epoxy base coat/prime/sand/prime/sand/3 color coats....

Finishing up the last panels with paint, looks like just in time.... Rain starts Friday.
Still one more coat of original 501 Medium Red on fenders & hood, wet sand then final coat on whole truck.
Then on to re-align all the panels bed and cab and install grill and bumper and drive it again.
Original coils make it sit WAY Too high.......

Up for sale in 2 weeks. Finishing up assembling door guts, tweak body panels and install trim on tailgate next week.
