Re: 7 inch Conversion Headlight?

Aloha
I bought these from ebay and installed them with a ultra blue white H-4 bulb from ebay also, for around 85 bucks shipped!

They installed just like a regular bulb and are super bright on low beam high beams are rediculously bright!
Aloha

Re: 7 inch Conversion Headlight?

I bought h-4 straight plug ins I have to go to work right now but I will look up the guy who sells the lights real cheap higher shipping from overseas Japan I think.
So far in two months of use no overheating problems, all I did was change the light housings (which come with a h-4 light already installed) and put in the I think 8005 brightness lights?
Ok here is the ebay seller...

Re: 7 inch Conversion Headlight?

OldSkool71,

I live in SoCal... so if you want to check out my Xenon lighting setup you can.

Also, I would be interested in seeing/learning about your gas tank relocation as having more space behind the seat (and the elimination of the gas sloshing sound) would be nice.

Re: 7 inch Conversion Headlight?

But these are plastic, yes? UV rays and a couple of good sand storms and they are history.
If they are glass then great!

Re: 7 inch Conversion Headlight?

I can't speak for the other types/brands of headlights discussed earlier in this forum, but the Xenon headlights (from Classic Industries) in my 1971 are glass.

Re: 7 inch Conversion Headlight?

Cbrown67,

Huh?

1. The photo posted was from Classic Industries catalog for 67-72 Trucks.

2. Those are the exact part numbers that I used for my truck ... and the parts work/fit.

Maybe I'm missing something here.

Re: 7 inch Conversion Headlight?

I like the ones with the led rings,
the blinding oncome'n traffic is an issue, but those eye lid covers that cover the top 1/4 of the glass , fixes this issue,

Re: 7 inch Conversion Headlight?

what about the "diamond cut headlights" that classic industries sells? has anyone used them? do you need the wiring upgrade that they sell? would they be a direct fit with the original wiring? any info on these ?

Re: 7 inch Conversion Headlight?

This is such a wonderful forum. I just scored two 2008 Jeep headlights on Ebay for just under $60 and two adapters for about $15. Thanks for the great ideas.
