I believe it is Felpro #RDS6629. You should be able to get this anywhere. They used 44's in a lot of vehicles.

This is for a 99% stock restoration or else I would have used silicone already.

I already had the Fel-Pro RDS 6629 number, which is a fiber gasket.

Anyway, the guys at NAPA finally figured it out and just added a "TC" at the end for a Tuff Cork gasket which is what I wanted.

That's OK.

For future reference, the NAPA, Dana/Victor-Reinz part number is P27768TC.

The GM part number is 6273943, but may take 4-6 weeks to get!

Rear Eaton Diff Gasket, NAPA #P-39130, about $5.

When I got the Fel Pro one that Dean just mentioned (RDS-5090) it was folded and crushed in the box so I took it back.

I couldn't find a cork seal for the rear, so in this instance I made my own out of bulk sheet fiber gasket material...

I have the GM number for the rear gasket also, but it looked just like the Felpro one. Not a cork material.

Thanks guys for all your help. Just buttoned up the front axle today and it has turned out very nice; almost like brand new. I will post some pics as soon as I get my next roll of film developed ( I really need to get a digi cam).
