Stock engine bay wire routing pic request

I'm looking for picks of how the engine bay wiring harness gutters are done, and how the driver side area with the volt reg and alternator is set up.

My truck has the gutter on the firewall, but it's in shambles . I don't have the radiator support gutter at all though. I have new ones but I don't know how the front one mounts. And for the firewall, are the only wires in there the starter, distributor and the black ammeter wires?

I'm looking for stock or at least clean examples, but anything would do. And now that I think about it, I should have taken a pic of mine, but I took it all out.

Re: Stock engine bay wire routing pic request

Here are pictures of the original harness in my 69 with A/C. The separate red 12 gauge wire in pictures 1, 3, 6, and 7 is the 12V hot wire for the optional camper wiring harness.
- Pic #1, resister wire replaced by 12 gauge for HEI.
- Pic #2, wire in fabric loom added for electric choke. Starter and fan wires in other branch from gutter.
- Pic #3, I may have the dual horn jumper wire backward. Note harness secured from inside of fender by barb wrapped into harness.
- Pic #4, wire to alternator secured to inner fender with barb wrapped into harness.
- Pic #5, backside of externally regulated alternator.
- Pic #6 (next post), core support gutter. Screwed to core support with the flange down.
- Pic #7 (next post), junction block.

What is that bracket at the bottom of the left inner wheelhouse above the steering box? Photo 4 I don't have that. I do have the screw holes.

Do you mean above (as seen in the pic) the steering "column"? If so, the bar with the "L" profile is a reinforcement that spans the gap in the inner fender/wheelhouse that the column passes through. 2 bolts at each end.

Wowsers FirstOwner - that is clean. talk about a helpful series of photos!

I did notice the horn wires but not because there is any issue but because mine is DIY and yours looks factory and I was envious..

Yes I think that is it. Does it do anything?

I assume all it does is add some rigidity to the inner fender and reduce flexing.

Thank you!

I think the horn jumper is supposed to go to the standard equipment low note horn first then to the optional high note horn. It really makes no difference functionally.
