Rear crossmember help

Could someone please tell me what the length of the rearmost crossmember is? My truck is a 1970 short Stepside and the crossmember is missing. My left frame rail is bent and a friend of mine has borrowed a porta-power to help me get it straight. I want to get a new crossmember to install but wanted to make sure I got the frame distance right while I have to tool...

Thanks for the help.

Re: Rear crossmember help

Which one of the cross members are you referring to? My '67 has 3 including the main one over the differential.

Re: Rear crossmember help

The one thing that I don't see on that drawing is how to place the axle center lines on the frame. Rob@NoLimit gave me a measurement of 34 1/2" from the end of the frame on the rear to the rear center line and it seems to fall exactly where the drawing shows it.

Re: Rear crossmember help

all of the information you should need is there, it will just take some addition and/or subtraction from some some of the other dimensions.

do you have a Long wheel base or a Short wheel base? are there exsisting bump stops on the truck? what is wrong with your existing frame that it is not already located?

we need info!!!!!
