anyone ever do a drum to disc conversion to a 8 lug 3/4 ton truck
anyone ever do a drum to disc conversion to a 8 lug 3/4 ton truck i have a 1962 gmc 1500 ton pick up with drum brakes all around i would like to convert it to discs but want to keep the 8 lugs?????????? help anyone

I don't know in earlier models but in the 67-72 models you can just get the front suspension from a disc truck and bolt it under your truck, you might have to get a different prop. valve but I'm not quite sure.
I have a spare front disc suspension with 8 lugs if you are interested, I believe it came out of a '71, I'm in PA.

I have the whole front suspension, front discs, calipers, lower and upper arms and is all bolted to the front crossmember, I paid $50 for it and want to break even, you will not find this in your local yard for this price come and get it.

yup i did it with 2'' dropped springs and 2 1/2 drop spindals the rest is all 73-87 goodies..............any questions just ask -kyle

ya no proplem www.classicperform.com sells the kit i think its like $900 for spindal,berings balljoints,ti-rod ends anjustment sleeve, calipers,hoses and a new idler arm i think, but i was pritty streight folward install but i had to print the directions off the internet since there was none included. but overall i was happy with the kit. -kyle
and with the 2.5 spindal and 2'' spring it come out about this low...................
