Hot foot!
Is the heat ever really off with the standard heating system ? Mine appears to be closed, the fan is off, but I still feel warm air coming from under the dash. Gotta love vent windows. It was 94 today.

Re: Hot foot!
It's ok to put chevy parts in a ford, but ford parts in a chevy is heresy.

Re: Hot foot!
I had an old Jeep that the water valve leaked so I replaced it with a regular plumbing valve . Closed the valve in summer and open in winter.

Re: Hot foot!
You can also plumb in a vacuum operated heater control valve for a '79 Caprice. But then you will also need a electric switch to operate a vacuum solenoid that will in turn control the heater valve.
