'70 C20 Steering column; What's missing?
I have a 1970 c20 and and just put the steering column in and something seems to be missing. It's pretty sloppy in there. I also cannot seem to find pics in the shop manual that shows how my steering column is held in there. Here's some pics of how it looks now. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You are missing the bracket that bolts around the steering column if you look underneath you will see two bolt holes at somewhat of an angle i didn't see the bolts sticking through the nuts on top of the main bracket. there is also a larger bracket that bolts to the bottom with 4 bolts that has small bumpers on it for your clutch and brake pedals to bump against. it also looks like your firewall grommet is not in correctly, mine has a lip that goes over both sides inside and outside of the firewall.

On the firewall outside you have a bracket with two bolts also there is a band that bolts around the column and the bracket.
