GMC Decals and badges: Canadian and US
Hey Guys,
I picked up a set of outer cowel panels and they had these nice GMC 910 badges on the side. Nik informed me they are for the 66 Canadian built GMC 1/2 ton. Does any one have more information about them? They are very cool and I would like to use them but my rig is a 63 1 ton and it would be nice to use the correct decal. PM me. From what I was reading the 1 ton would be a 930 or a 936. And Nik was saying that they would have a different shape to the letters. |

Re: GMC Decals and badges: Canadian and US
930 would be correct for a 1 ton application. Like Chevrolet they never got into the specifics with the series, in other words there would not be a 936 crest.
Original GMC part number for the 930 plate was 5773355 for 1962-64. 65-66 was a different part number 3390332. It would be interesting for you to remove the plate from the cowl extensions and give us the casting number on it.

I pulled the plates off and had a real good look at them. I couldn't find any numbers on them at all. Do you know where I can ge the 63' 930 plates? |

I would say like a needle in a haystack, if you ever luck upon a 62 63 or 64 930

Yeah it's very unfortunate that my set isn't complete, these are the the only emblems for a 62-64 Canadian gmc 930 that I have ever found so finding the one missing piece might be challenging

Aero, are you sure that it would be 60-64? This is a friends original '60 Canadian gmc 1/2 ton (so 910) and it shares the same style badges as the 1963 gmc 930 badges I have.
