I stand corrected...Hooker 2455's do fit square bodies. Pics
So I finally realized that BBC and SBC clam shells are different. Replaced the worn out rubber mounts with energy suspension inserts and used the 1/2 inch taller small block clam shells. This raised the engine enough that the 2455's fit like a glove. I had to clearance the flange for the taller head bolts, and I had to clearance the left side clam shell. Other than that they slid right in. The fit is close in some places, but still plenty of clearance. Here are some pictures of multiple angles.

Sorry for the blurry pictures. I was trying to hold a light and take the picture. Hard to get a good picture under a dark truck. I know the tube looks close to that heat shield under the passenger floor board, but there is over a 3/8 inch of clearance.

Yep. They are only 3/4 to 1 inch below the frame.

Thanks, me too. I was getting pretty frustrated trying to figure out what I was going to do for exhaust.

So you need small block clam shells to make a big block fit correctly? That makes a big block swap a little easier.
