Can you ID which mirror fits in these holes?

Truck is a 1972, no SPID. I want to buy some mirrors and would rather get some that fit right right in these holes. What do you think?

You could buy those on ebay but I wouldn't, you can find a nicer used set right here on the forum if you are patient. Those things are pretty beat up and rusty for 50.00

Hey you guys are a big help! Turns out I have a '71 not a '72! Solves the mystery!

Those mirrors are a bit ugly - I am headed to a swap meet on 8/6 so I might get a pair there.

Here's a pic of camper mirrors on my truck I think camper mirrors are a little different than below eye level mirrors different option number anyway.

That is a 69-71 version of the below eyeline mirror. They were also listed on the 69 (and 70?) SPIDs as "W/C MIRROR -JR-LH&RH". Stainless was option DG4. Painted was option D29. What you refer to as camper mirrors had considerably larger brackets but the same mirror head. The camper mirrors were DF2 (stainless) or DF1 (painted).

The pic of my mirrors do say df2 camper mirror stainless on the spid. The pic of the above mirrors are the ones on my 72.

So now I'm confused why would my mirrors look like the pic and they are listed as camper mirrors. Truck was made in Canada could that make a difference.

Or could my truck possibly be a real early 1972 (factory left over 1971 pieces)

Possibly, if Canada only supplied only one type of mirror with the large heads. Unlikely in my opinion, and I'd think yours would then be the 72 version of the DG4.

If that were the case, I'd expect the option number on the SPID would be DG4, not DF2.

If your truck is an original paint '72 with DF2s listed on the SPID you have a real stumper. If it's a '72 your VIN starts with CC, the interior mirror attaches to windsheild, and you'll have molded plastic door panels. If it is, that is really odd since the mirrors weren't used in '72, that I have seen up until now AND the SPID is incorrectly printed. If it's not actually a '72, then it's probably a mistake on the SPID or a mistake on the assembly line. You are positive the doors have never had repairs/repaint?

X2! The mirror heads have been replaced with cheap aftermarket, not even close in styling, and arms are damaged, I am sure there much better out there. Make sure they are '69-'71 GM arms, they line up with factory holes in your door, some aftermarket types look similar, but holes will not line up.

The only thing I can think of is maybe po changed the mirrors the truck was repainted at one time. Mirror is attached to windshield and it does gave the raised panels on the door with the wood grain inserts. I'm going to contact the po he claims the sport bumper and the wheels were the only thing he changed since he bought the truck new. ??? I guess the plot thickens. Lol

Ok so I called the original owner this morning. He told me he had truck painted along time ago and the body shop had to do some rust repair he claims there was some rust on bottom of doors and rockers he said they may have changed the doors or mirrors but he never noticed it when he got it back. He said the paint looked so good he may have missed the mirror change. He doesn't recall them saying anything. He told me the paint was endura which was considered to be the better way to go. So with that info I went out back to look at my 72 parts truck and I think the doors may have been changed. Now I'm thinking I should get rid of those mirrors and go either to sport mirrors or 1973 below eye level I don't care for the looks of the pics I've seen of the 1972 below eye level. That top bolt going into the door looks ugly to me.
