Tail light flasher help

I recently added LED parking lights and tail lights. I ran into the issue with the signals not flashing and did some research and replaced the old flasher with an electric one for LED's along with replacing fuses and wiring harnesses for the rear. That fixed the parking lights and those now flash, I had the right tail light flashing for a minute, but once I went back and checked the connections on both I lost the left side. So now both tail lights won't flash.
Also for some reason the left tail light is much brighter than the right when it's sitting. Once I hit the break, the right tail light goes as bright as the left side...and the left is the same as it is when it's sitting. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated, thanks!
