Grille Find!!! 85-87

Found this at a local yard for $30!!! Nothing broke. This was after cleaning it up a bit and removing the paint/tape from the center moldings. 2 of the little chrome ends pieces where dented, but I found some NOS ones on Ebay already.

Good find, my 1984 grill is different. Looks just like my 1985 grill.

Yea the title says 84-87, I made a mistake typing, it is an 85-87 grille.

Hard to believe it survived a fire, you think it would have at least melted from the heat.

Re: Grille Find!!! 84-87

Well I've been working on the grille this weekend. Completely dismantled the grill and gave it a fresh coat of paint. Cleaned the lights and center grill moldings. Photos are before & after paint and cleaning.

The bowtie. I decided to paint red, same color as the truck. After it's all back together with the red bowtie, I'll post that pic.

Thanks! My intention was to restore this grille and sell it. But I think I'm going to keep it as a back-up, in case something ever happens to mine. You know, all it would take is to hit a bird on the highway and it's history. These things are too hard to find!! The center moldings have a few very minor dings. Contemplating on finding someone who can remove the dings and then polish the crap out of them. Try and make them as good as possible.

Here's the one that's on the truck now.
