I dunno bout new vendors, but you have some awsome junk yards over there just outside of Fort Worth.

D@mn, I was afraid you'd ask me that. It's been way too long since I was even in Fort Worth...I think it was the west side of town...a long strip of them. A buddy took me there once back in '95 or so...maybe '96. Found bout a dozen of these trucks in there...got a great condition Fleet GMC gate for 45 bucks.

There are several salvage yards in Ft Worth off of Hwy 121 take Carson south to Elliott Reeder road and there are yards on both sides.
As for rockers evryone I have talked to says that Original GM is the best fit they cost more but they do fit.

Welcome from Dallas. Try Elliot Reeder Rd.,Jefferson Hwy 80(YellowBelly dragstrip) & there is a couple of yards in Seagoville area off 175 just east of 635. Oh yeah... Bobby Burks @ Central Chevy Connection(I think) in Ft.Worth for resto truck parts.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

welcome olyeller, i'm from louisiana but, frequent those same yards around ft. worth because i have a brother and sister there. little john's for one in Haltom City. they are on elliott reeder road along with a lot of other u-pull-its. also there are some yards in kennedale and forrest hill but i can't think if the name of the hwy. apache and AB's are a couple of good sources for old chev. parts. good luck and happy hunting. i only wish there were yards like that in my neck of the woods.
