Thumbs down left and right flashers quit working this morning!

My blinkers wouldn't work at all today, yet my brake lights, running lights and hazard flasher all works. I had a trailer hooked up and though it might have been some bad wiring but even with the trailer lights disconnected its still no good. I'm thinking its probably just the flasher unit under the dash, I think I have a spare one somewhere, i'll try it out. Either that or my lever is messed up for some reason.

get a heavy duty flasher. With the trailer on you just had too many amps flowing;

The truck came factory with provisions for trailer hookup, so i would assume it already had a heavy duty one, but i'll get one and replace it. I suspect that is the problem also.
