Back window replace with a slider
Busted the back window out of my 97. Local parts store was able to score me a used slider. Any tips on installation? The slider was previous installed with double back tape. Thinking that is not a good idea, I picked up a tube of urethane window calk.

Re: Back window replace with a slider
What I thought was double back tape is actually seal. the slider looks like an original GM product. No brand name on it, but it does have ppg safety glass.

Re: Back window replace with a slider
I just installed one in my 98. I put a good bead of urethane on the window frame and set it in place. I did tape it to keep it from sliding down until the urethane set. No leaks. My truck has a rack on the bed front so I did wedge some cushins between the window and rack in the outer corners to hold it in tight.
