95-98 4wd extended cab 1500 diesel

Saw one of these yesterday. I didn't think you could get a diesel in a 1500 truck? Was getting gas and see a gold extended cab pull in with a rattle. had the bumper with the cooling holes, and 1500 emblems on the sides.

These a special order/ rare truck or have I just not seen them?

I know the diesels from that era aren't great compared to modern engines, but I've always wanted an extended cab 4wd from 95-98 and would love to have one with a diesel. Would suit my intended uses perfectly.

yes you could get a 1500 with the diesel, they aren't common but have a following.

The fella I bought my '84 from has a 96 1500 diesel. A rare bird. His only has about 100K but has towed car trailers and rusted out the past 20 years.

That would have been pretty cool to see. I have never seen one up close in person only heard about them.
