Wtb. This little bed piece
I'm not sure what these are called but they are made by a board member here.
I tried searching but didn't know what to call them. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Re: Wtb. This little bed piece
You're right but I'm looking for the silver colored insert in the bed perch. They are used to align the bed a little better than factory

Re: Wtb. This little bed piece
Personally I don't think our trucks are that precise.
I think you are going to need the full range of motion those slots provide. The beds aren't perfect, and the frames aren't perfect. Just my opinion.

Re: Wtb. This little bed piece
The factory made the perches that way for a reason and it is for Movements. If they were just a perfect centered hole with/for no movement then any time something was thrown into the bed and slammed against the front bed panel with enough force it would tear up the perches and the bed where the bolt is would be beaten up a little also and even the frame where the perches are mounted to would might also be damaged. This also goes with when someone rear ends the truck it (the elongated holes) would do what they were intended for "Movement".

Re: Wtb. This little bed piece
I understand the concern and im not needing them for long term use. I have put a ton of time and money into this truck and want to use these to get my bed as centered as possible so i can then square the cab. The goal here is to get near perfect body lines. I am starting with a perfectly square frame and want all that hard work to transcribe into the sheet metal. If it doesnt work you can tell me I told you so afterwards.

Try "the gearbox garage". Almost positive that's who fabbed those up. Or one of the people that have done it.
