WTB. Good daily driver with bad engine.
I'm looking for a truck with a good body and ac. if i find one cheap with a good engine, then i'll get it. but i have a 350 in my garage that needs a home and figured i could find a clean straight truck that needs an engine. i'm looking for anything from 67-88. i'm thinkin i want something from 73-79. i love the 67-72 body style but i have 2. would rather have 4x4 but if i find a 2wd that's fine too...and swb not lwb. anything out there? something around dallas? thanks guys.

under 3. i know that is asking a little much. but depending on the value/condition of the truck i would pay more. it all depends on the condition.

i'm in Springfield, MO and i have a 68 that would make a great daily driver. It has a 250 that runs great but that can be taken out. it had a wood bed but i put a bed liner in it so i could use the bed. was in an accident and it got totaled out and i'm going to put a new passenger side front fender, hood gril, innerfender, bumper, rad support, and grill from my 67 parts truck (BTW that truck is up for grabs but has doors missing. I think my pickup would be worth your time, I do not think this truck would be something worth restoring, it needs too much time. If you want the motor. I'll say 600 w/ the motor or 3 w/o mtr.
Also there is a pickup in texas that I want badly it's in the DFW area and i'm having a hard time going and getting it. IF you were to come up here to get mine, just to say if you were, then maybe we can make a deal on bringing that 68 up here and getting this one for youself. Hmmmmm pm me or send me an email, whitesswj@squaredc.net thank, Steven

I have a 79 GMC LWB good daily driver very very straight body. I actually put a 305 in it over the summer and was pissed to find out that the tip of the crank was bent so I gave up. It has AC but it's not working can remember how much of it is still there? Take 500 for the whole truck as is... It's in McKinney BTW.

The interior is all there, pretty fair. Good enough for a work truck/driver. If you put your motor/tranny in thats all you would need. Really all it needs is a motor. It has a th350 and I put new front and rear main seals in it a few months ago. It is a 2wd.

Brakes work fine. I'd have to check again to be sure about the options. As I remember, PS, PB, AC
NOT PL PW... Let me know

OMG, you are sooo right McKinney Dodge SUCKS. Manuel in Richardson is way worse though. I had a ProCharged Dakota RT and they couldn't even do the simplist things at either dealership without messing everything up....
Anyway, the truck is actually sitting at a buddies body shop in McKinney right off 380 and Highway 5 which is a block from downtown McKinney basically. I won't be back in town for another 2 weeks but if you want to go ahead and look at it you can I can give you directions and stuff... Thanks

yeah i might take a look at it...no rush as i'm not goin up there right away...
my friend had ordered a part from mckinney dodge for his truck...it was just a mounting plate. 16 bucks. and they said it would be there at 8 the next morning. so we got up at 7:30 and took the 45 min. drive up there only to find out the guy didn't order it. samw guy we were talkin to at the parts counter...he said "oh yeah i remember you" when matt asked if he had ordered it he just said a simple "no" we asked why and he said it was a special order part and there was one in abileen if we wanted it in 3 days he could get it here. my friend said a few choice words and i will never go there again. it was bad. |
