Heater box re-installation question.

When remounting the heater box, does the round gasket around the fan section need to be glued to the heater box?

I know it doesn't get glued to the front of the cab.

I thought it would benefit to do so, so I did mine with 3M adhesive - same stuff I used on my door seals
