How to remove upper trim
What is the best way to remove the upper trim without bending or damaging?

I have to remove some of mine too. I think a special tool will need to be made similar to a window trim tool for something like a Camaro window.

I will try to remember to take a picture of the clip in the trim that I bought to replace mine, it should help you figure out what to do
