blower motor, '69 C-10

Anyone know if a new blower motor will spin the fan faster? I have, I'm sure the original one in the truck now. I've replaced the round fan part,,,still would like stronger air flow. Thanks, Bill

Re: blower motor, '69 C-10

I think I recall seeing someone write on this site that the Air Conditioned versions had a faster blower motor - it would have been posted in the last year or so but I don't recall more than that.

Sounds like you have already been through your system so the weak flow likely isn't due to the blower passages being clogged with debris; but it might be worth checking your blower connectors (the Packard plastic fitting), as well as the condition of the wires. On mine it looked as if the wires had been overloaded with current at one time (perhaps due to the squirrel cage being jammed with debris that the motor was trying to spin against)... either that of the wires were undersized for the current draw from the start..

Photos of my heater blower connector attached.. it is a '70 C10 with A/C
