SW Stepper outside dimentions?

Will someone post the front-to-back and side-to-side measurements on the top rails of the bed? Think I have a lead on a tonneau cover but my bed is elsewhere for a few days and don't want to spend the money without being sure it will fit.
Thanks!

Re: SW Stepper outside dimentions?

Hope this helps, the hook on the tape was hooked at the same spot opposite of what you see in the sizes.
if that makes any sense.

Second set of pics is "inside" bed sizes. I butted the hook up too the round part of the front bed panel. C last pic.

The pics/measurements i took is a 6' shorty.

Here is a 8' long bed step side length/size for anyone else who may need it. Of course the width will be the same as above.

midnightblues,

You did a nice thing here, good job. Do you not have a floor to your swb bed?

Re: SW Stepper outside dimentions?

I have ten rough cut red oak boards sticked up and drying for the past 2 yrs now for my 67....waiting for my dumass.
I would like too get them planed. I don't have a planer. A buddy of mine has one he uses every now and then but he had said in the beginning of spring that the blades were dull so I'm kinda waiting on him too sharpen or get new ones.

I planning on staining it with a light green tint and using a better clear than spar.

I did the kids 67's wood with provential color stain and spar clear but in 7-8 yrs. it's been recoated in ebony stain twice and not top coated also the escaped drive shaft and weather really takes its toll on it. Plus he really neglects this poor truck.
It did look great 3 times now. I'm glad I powder coated the strips they are dirty but clean up nice.
Even the crappy herculiner we used on the walls got thin in spots and the gray epoxy started showing.

The whole truck is taking a neglected patina look. Not bad but not good either.

I don't have a planer either. I would have to either sand those down or take those to a local wood shop so they could plane them.

If I ever put on a wood bed (which is what I'd do over anything else) I'd try that faux wood they use on decks, teak, or perhaps cedar.
