windshield
I am going to be installing a new windshield in my 65 soon and had a question for you guys. Do I need some kind of sealer on it or do you just install it as is? Thanks. ..RC.

I had mine installed at a shop with a new seal. The old seal would have still been OK. No sealant was used that I remember as I was standing there watching.

As is- you doing it yourself or having it installed? Make sure you get new rubber seal.

Thanks guys. I already have a new rubber seal but I didn't know if I needed some kind of sealant on it. I am going to attempt to install it myself with a little help from my brother in law.

No sealant is needed, just use a lot of rubber lubricant like Dove dish soap and it will nearly fall into place. We did mine which is a 1960 and had no trouble at all.
