90 Degree Fire Suppressor
So I ditched my factory air cleaner setup and went with a factory style muscle car open cleaner as came on Camaros, Chevelles etc. I had an issue with the hose that goes from the bottom of the base to the fire suppressor (that's what I was told it was) on the passenger valve cover but I made it work. Well I had an Edelbrock air cleaner laying around and liked the shape of the base much better. It is smoother, less of a drop and is designed to clear my Eddy carb. But now the angle between the Eddy breather barb and the factory fire suppressor are way off.
What can I replace the factory fire suppressor with? It needs to be 3/4 inch and have a 90 degree bend inn it so that it halfway lines up with the air cleaner breather barb. Is this fitting anything special? Again, I was told it was there to suppress fire and it's been on there for 48 years and still seems OK, I just need a 90.
