1974 C10 Front brake Pads Rattle.. Help
I have a rattle coming from the front brake pads sounds like the pads are loose and slapping around in the Caliper. the noise goes away soon as little pressure is applied to the breaks. i have taken the pads out, replaced anti rattle spring on the inner pad. i think the outer pads are the ones making all the noise. cant find a way to fix issue or find any forums with a fix to similar issues. about to replace pads and anti rattle spring this weekend. any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated before i start replacing everything

Re: 1974 C10 Front brake Pads Rattle.. Help
The calipers slide sideways on pins, make sure they are free to move, residual pressure valves should keep the pad "in touch" with the disks. Maybe the disks are warped and push the pads back or the wheel bearing have some slack in the and let the disks wobble around moving the pads back. Just some thoughts.

Did you bend the ears on the outer pads?
