Talking Weekend project: made my son a C10 truck bed!

He loves my truck, so I made him a toddler bed to match mine!

I used the leftover paint that was used to paint my truck in 2002 that the previous owner gave me. Used mostly scrap wood I had too. Fun little project and my son loves it!

that would have been cool. I really almost went overboard with it.. adding emblems, lights, and everything else, but decided to keep it somewhat simple.

I was thinkin' of a matching spare for your truck .....
but if you wanted a side mount spare on your son's bed ... it's your kid

haha oh!

One thing about a rally wheel as a spare though is it might stick out too far, being too wide.

Your son is smiling because he knows that his real bed is going to be your truck.

That is awesome, my son is very jealous!

Re: Weekend project: made my son a C10 truck bed!

The red mud flaps on his bed was a stroke of genius! Way to go..

Now you need some on your truck to match his - maybe cut some out of an old rubber bed mat and paint them red?
