'72 C-10 Brake Hoses
I just called my "Real" parts store for some Brake Hoses for my '72 C-10 and although what they have are good American names, he said that they are all made in China. Just wondering if anyone out there knows of any top quality ones that are still made here in the US?
Thanks

OK, 3 Days and 47 Views later, no answer.
I'm going to say that it probably means that there are no US made ones available, lol.

Maybe LMC truck or CPP. That is where I got mine at Classic Performance Products.

Re: '72 C-10 Brake Hoses
Did you notice if they were marked on where they were made at anywhere on them or the box?

Re: '72 C-10 Brake Hoses
if you've got a hydraulic shop in town swing on in. Then you can get american made ones right in front of you. At least the TIPCO by me will make em. And no, they aren't just hydraulic hoses with a flair end and a banjo end, they can attach direct to factory metal bent lines as well.

Re: '72 C-10 Brake Hoses
I would think NAPA would carry OEM quality hoses before any of the cookie cutter parts stores, he did or Wagner brake parts are what you want to ask for.

Re: '72 C-10 Brake Hoses
FWIW, where it is either difficult to locate quality brake hoses, or a custom line is needed on a lifted truck, I made my own out of AN fittings. They make AN banjo fittings, NPT to AN adapters, and braided lines. I made both of the ones for my lifted truck for about $65 and that is with braided stainless line.
I also second the hydraulic shop idea, if you take an old hose in they should be able to duplicate it, while you wait.

Re: '72 C-10 Brake Hoses
NAPA carries them, they have over 400 in their distribution centers across the naiton as well. So when your napa parts monkey tells you they don't have it, kindly tell them to look again...
EDIT, not sure why the pic is showing up so small but, part numbers are, right front UP 380712 and left front UP 380713 pricing is List is 23 and cost is 11, at least under my account.

On a side note, LMC Truck has a pretty comprehensive catalog, and that's it! Nearly every part I've purchased from them has been less than acceptable quality . |

Re: '72 C-10 Brake Hoses
I'll throw this out there too, if you're lowering your truck, the factory length front hoses are too short, you want the hoses I posted in post #39. They're longer and they have a universal mount so if you have factory steel lines you'll need an adapter for the DS as GM made them different side to side (I included the PN for that in the thread too).
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=681834&page=2 Also check out the pic of the truck aired down with the factory length hose.
