Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Scoti, I went to www.gmvortec.com and they had some specs on the marine engines. There was a brochure in pdf. format, but I couldn't get it to work. hope that helps. They rated it at 295 hp, but it is hard to tell what any of the specs are.

Can you look up the engines available for sale at www.gmpartsdirect.com?

Scoti, I personally would just ask for what you payed for.

It sounds to me like it could be a potential headache, but I don't know for sure.

I agree..... but if the marine application is potentially better I wouldn't mind that direction because of the roller cam hardware. If the marines are availible for much better pricing (& I paid for the 330hp/350) then I'm getting screwed. That's why I'm trying to learn all the facts I can.
