I would like to get educated about this sort of situation. I looked up the CL ad, and of course it is difficult to tell anything in detail about the truck. Can you tell us what lead you to believe it was a POS when you saw it? And now when you look back on the ad are there things to look for in advertisements that are easy to miss? I have only bought one truck on CL and I got lucky. (Truck was in CA and I am in NY). Thanks for your help with this.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

The whole roof from pillar to pilar rusted out on inside, rockers are just pop riveted in place, kick panels rusted out, back cab dented, the motor had oil all over bottom side missed and had funny sound in it. Tires are shot, you could tell they just blew paint over crap. That's how I could tell POS.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

THe truck looked good till got about 50 feet away could tell I had got took. I have bought several trucks on Craigslist never been lied to like this. You put no rust, new motor, new paint call talk to guy about it sounded like good truck. Was told his best friend had truck for 10 years he wanted it bought it. From the pics I had no reason to think different I asked about the rust and motor when talked to him. I don't know what this world comes to when you can't give your word and mean it. I was always taught your word is all you have.
